Humber Treatment Plant

Three Scum Tanks were to be designed, fabricated and installed by Bennett Mechanical Installations Ltd. at Humber Treatment Plant, and VIRTUAL was asked to provide the design. Each Scum Tank was over two metres tall with a holding capacity in excess of 2,000 litres. VIRTUAL designed the Scum Tanks, including the structural members, nozzles, access openings and the heating system. The heating system used a series of baffles to improve the heat transfer in the Scum Tank. VIRTUAL delivered fabrication drawings of the Scum Tanks to Bennett Mechanical Installations Ltd.
